What is your mission at Wüest Partner and what does your typical workday look like?

My mission is to advise our clients on all matters relating to real estate. It is important to me to offer clients a well-founded and independent analysis, a solution tailored to their needs, and thus an optimal basis for decision-making.

My typical working day looks something like this: I spend most days in the Zurich office, where I use our tools to value properties or work on consulting mandates. The tasks are very varied – I analyze documents, evaluate the property in terms of substance, usability, and other aspects, assess the real estate market and rental prices, and liaise with our clients. On average, I spend one day a week on the road inspecting properties. I visit the property with the owner or manager to get an idea of the situation on-site. ​

What makes working at Wüest Partner special for you?

The work is very diverse. Every mandate is unique and there is always something new to learn. What’s more, there’s a lot of know-how in the company. You have a lot of responsibility right from the start and can work very independently.

What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of Wüest Partner, and why?

Real estate experts – we have the most comprehensive data in this area and can handle the most diverse issues.

What has been the most exciting project for you so far and what did it involve?

An acquisition valuation of a former data center. I inspected the property with the owner and the prospective buyer, then performed a market value appraisal based on the documents and inspection. The project was very complex, as a lot of specialist knowledge was required. There was also the question of how the building could potentially be converted and how high the investment costs would be.

How do you make an impact at Wüest Partner?

By helping both our clients and Wüest Partner progress. By eliminating information asymmetries, I also contribute to a more efficient real estate market. Internally, I am responsible for Wüest Partner’s knowledge base. This is where we share specific knowledge on a wide range of topics, ensuring that no question goes unanswered.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I really like the variety of tasks. On the one hand, you have to be analytical and entrepreneurial, and on the other, you need to be a good communicator. And the visits are also a lot of fun, especially when the sun is shining!
