Wüest Partner strengthens its leadership structure in preparation for its next growth phase.
After nearly seven years as Group CEO, Patrik Schmid has decided to step down from his leadership role, effective May 1, 2026. He will, however, continue to support the firm as a Partner and senior advisor, contributing his extensive experience in this new capacity.
As part of the company’s continued development of its strategic direction – particularly regarding scaling its software products internationally – Thomas Zanzinger has been appointed to the newly created role of Delegate of the Board of Directors. In this role, effective July 1, 2026, he will support the Group Executive Board in implementing the international growth strategy and strengthen the link between the Board of Directors and operational management. Thomas Zanzinger has many years of international leadership experience in the software and SaaS sectors. Most recently, as CEO of Inriver and Ocean Technologies Group, he was responsible for the global development of B2B SaaS platforms.

On behalf of the partnership, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Patrik for his outstanding contribution as CEO of our group over the past several years. Through his many years of experience and tremendous dedication, he has played a significant role in the company’s development. We are delighted that we can continue to count on his expertise going forward. At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Thomas, an experienced leader with a strong track record, to the role of Delegate of the Board of Directors.
