Climate-compatible real estate invest­ments

On behalf of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), Wüest Partner developed a model that can be used to estimate the CO2 emissions of buildings.

This model then formed the basis for the emissions and investment calcu­lator, a software package that can calculate the CO₂ emissions of individual buildings and entire portfolios.

With the results of the emissions and investment calcu­lator, it is possible to obtain indica­tions of where the company’s own properties stand in terms of CO₂ emissions compared to a climate-friendly target path. The knowledge gained in this way can be used to take appro­priate measures.
